Hey there, I’m Lars Miller—Welcome to My Ecosystem!

Since many of you are new here (shout out to the now 2,300+ subscribers!), I thought it’d be the perfect time to reintroduce myself and give you a behind-the-scenes look at everything I’ve got going on. From my full-time roles to my personal ventures, I’m working across a growing ecosystem of creative and strategic projects—so here’s the breakdown.

Who I Am and What I Do:

My name’s Lars Miller, and I’m balancing quite a few hats these days. I currently work full-time for two companies—Protis Global and our sister company, Ace Talent Curators.

At Protis Global, we specialize in retained executive search, focusing exclusively on the CPG and cannabis industries. With over 29 years of experience and 3,000+ placements, Protis has built a reputation as a leading global search firm in the consumer goods sector. Whether it’s Fortune 500 companies or innovative startups, we connect them with the top-tier talent they need to grow and thrive.

At Ace Talent Curators, we focus on placing Interim and Fractional Executives—leaders who can jump in and make an impact fast. It’s the same industries, same high-level talent, but with a flexible and rapid approach.

In my role as Senior Media Manager for both companies, I’m responsible for telling their stories. I handle everything from blogging to social media to video/photo content creation. If you’ve seen content from either of these firms, there’s a good chance I’m the one behind it.

I also had the privilege of producing the award-winning Plant Prophets Podcast with Vern Davis, which garnered over 300,000 downloads before it was shuttered in 2023.

Lars Miller Media: Visual Storytelling & Creative Strategy

Beyond my full-time gigs, I also run Lars Miller Media—the home base for all my creative projects. At LMM, I’m all about visual & written storytelling. I work with CPG and cannabis brands to bring their stories to life through stunning photography, engaging UGC videos, and ghostwriting for executives.

Whether it’s a lifestyle shoot, a product launch, or crafting a brand’s narrative on social media, my goal is to create visuals and content that not only look great but resonate with your target audience. Another big part of what I do is podcasting. I co-host the Free Spirits Podcast with David Gonzalez, where we dive into the world of beverage business operations. We talk to founders, brand operators, and retail experts about everything from the hemp and cannabis space to retail strategies. I’m always expanding. Right now, I write a weekly newsletter, Herbal Profiles, where I focus on all things cannabis and cannabis beverages.
