Good Feels: A Refreshing Approach to Cannabis Beverages
I love coming across brands that are not only innovating but also are deeply engaged in the community at large. This week, I am reviewing and highlighting a brand that embodies those values - Good Feels.
They have been on my radar for awhile now as their founder Jason Reposa and I have been connected on Linkedin for some time. Unfortunately for me they were unable to ship me product until recently. Jason's journey, from sharing engaging product videos and use cases on LinkedIn to crafting a brand with a hands-on, authentic approach, has been nothing short of inspiring.
The Essence of Good Feels
What stands out for me with Good Feels is not just the product line that Jason has created but the story and values behind the brand. Jason’s authenticity and his engaging presence on Linkedin have stood out to me and I have been a fan for months before I ever tried the products. His engaging series on entrepreneurship resonate deeply, showcasing a journey that's as much about building a community as it is about creating exceptional products. This genuine approach, coupled with his transparency and availability, makes Good Feels a brand with heart and soul.
Jason first caught my eye with his posts utilizing his beverage enhancers and his insights on the industry as a whole. The introduction of a hemp-derived version of their seltzers, which made them available to ship to me in Florida allowed me to get my hands on some.
A Dive into the Product Line
Good Feels has a range of products from low dose to high dose. A good portion of the product lines are available in dispensaries only. So for now, I am going to be focusing on their hemp-derived products specifically their seltzer line up.
I snagged some of the Blood Orange and Pineapple Mango flavors to try this week. Good Feels' approach to product presentation is commendable. Their cans, designed to blend seamlessly on shelves alongside mainstream beverages, evoke a sense of familiarity and quality.
Digital Presence and Accessibility
Good Feels excels in making their brand approachable through relatable "use case" content and the visible involvement of Jason. This accessibility not only demystifies cannabis beverages but also aligns perfectly with the ethos of my newsletter. Their straightforward and hassle-free ordering process, paired with competitive pricing, further emphasizes their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Taste Test
I got the Pineapple Mango and Blood Orange versions of the seltzers. As I mentioned above I have dying to try Jason’s products. Good Feels falls under a category I personally like to call the “pure” seltzer category. What do I mean by that? Well, there’s a lot of products that are technically called seltzers, that for me I feel they are too “juicy” or have too many other ingredients to be purely a seltzer. For me a seltzer is more sparkling water with some flavor essence. La Croix, Waterloo, Topo Chico, White Claw, etc. These are “pure” seltzers. This is not a judgement or knock on brands who don’t fall under my made up definition I just want to set some expectations for my readers.
With that said, these are great. The Pineapple Mango is a bit more subtle with the flavor. Definitely there, and very refreshing just more subtle. The Blood Orange is much more flavorful in my opinion. These are definitely something I would take out on the lake with me or hang by the pool. Both have great carbonation but I would put the carbonation level more in the Perrier range than a Topo Chico. Again, this is not knock just an observation.
